    PFC Coroflor Acoustic Flooring System

    Product Description:

The PFC Coroflor Acoustic Flooring System is used in conjunction with the CF Fire Protection System and is a simple, cost effective method of upgrading an existing or new floor to meet both Documents B & E of the Building Regulations for fire and sound respectively.

The standard system was originally designed for where there was a need to retain an existing lath and plaster and/or ornate ceilings. This still applies however, variations to the standard system can be specified, including where “ECO” joists are within the specification.

The Coroflor Acoustic Flooring System and/or variations of the standard system have been tested on many sites throughout the UK and (subject to correct installation) complies in full with the current regulations of Document B for a minimum 60 minutes fire protection for integrity and insulation (actual 108 minutes) as well as meeting the current regulations of Document E for airborne and impact sound transmissions where necessary.

In relation to part B, all documentation will be provided for Building Control on completion of works and relating to part E, an independent UKAS accredited sound test can be arranged if required. Full test report data can be supplied (AIRO REG/5188/A).

For use in conjunction with the CF Fire Protection System but additional materials are:

    • Coroflor H14 density polyethylene joist strip
    • Coroflor H14 density polyethylene perimeter bars
    • Coroflor low frequency sound quilt
    • Coroflor V3 moisture resistant V3 boards

PFC Corofil CW, CF and acoustic flooring Systems are quoted and supplied by PFC Technical Services.
